“Where’s my flying car?” and other important questions explored in fascinating lecture by Dr Declan Vogt

We were delighted to host an academic lecture today at CSMS by Dr Declan Vogt, an electronics engineer and lecturer in robotic and automated mining from the University of Exeter.

Dr Vogt’s lecture covered a wide range of ideas from the challenges associated with automation to the technical demands of mining. Dr Vogt explored how various technological innovations have helped to make mining easier, while also highlighting just how much innovation is still needed.

Our students were fascinated to hear from Dr Vogt and we would like to extend our sincere thanks to him for giving up his time to meet our students.
